Hi there!

Let us show you what this blog will be about. For first post we chosen a DIY project (which you should also try, seriously!), because we want you to look at life through rosy glasses and live it to the fullest. Experiences are what we make of them, so if we focus on the bright side of life, we can always find something positive. In the future we'll also be talking about traveling, beauty products, books or we'll just share a few of our thoughts. If any of that will make you smile or help you - then our goal is complete. So, here we go.

DIY jars of happiness:

One day I was thinking about Christmas gifts, how I would like to give something meaningful, positive and useful. I started thinking about how little we treasure the good times in our life and kind of just take them for granted. So I started searching the web and found this idea on Tumblr. It had just a symbolic picture and a short description beneath it. I loved it right away.
Why is it called the jar of happiness? Because inside are all the joyful moments that happened to you.
You start filling it up at the beginning of each new year and open it on New Years eve. When there comes a moment when you feel truly happy (your heart sings a little song or something), you write that down on a note paper and you put it in the jar. This way those wonderful moments will never be forgotten. You will actually stop and take in the moment, not just pass by it. When you open the jar, you will remember all the awesome things that happened through the year. Plus whenever you are down just the sight of it will tell you that there are also many good days in your life, and that this shall pass.
And so it goes on for every joyful year that is to come.

What you'll need:
  • Jar
  • A small block of notes
  • Pen
  • Decorations of your choice
