DIY: Granola

Hello all! 

You know what I like best? Good breakfast on a sunny morning. If it’s quick and healthy, that’s even better!

If you want wholesome breakfast, let me show you how you can combine the good and the healthy - and enjoy your summer mornings without much fuss. We’re going to make granola, which will be so tasty, without all the unhealthy sugars and fats, that you’ll never want to buy it in store eveeer again.

What you need:
  • 360g spelt flakes
  • 150g raw nuts
  • 100g cranberries
  • 70g honey
  • 2 egg whites
  • pich of salt 
Lets start:
1. Take flat baking tray, cover it with baking paper and preheat the oven on 165°C.
2. Take a bowl. Pour in the egg whites and honey and whisk them together.
3. Add spelt flakes, salt and nuts. Mix until well combined.

4. Spred the mixture on the tray and put it in the oven for about 15 minutes.

5. After 8 minutes, take the tray out and mix the mixture, so it will bake evenly.

6. When the mixture turns gold/ brown (it depends on how crunchy you want it to be) take it out and add cranberries.

7. Mix it together, let it cool down and ta-daaaa, it’s done!

Next morning, all you have to do is take some sort of milk / yogurt, add granola in it and to top it off add some fresh fruit (nectarines, bananas, berries…all the yummy stuff). Easy peasy!
