THE 5: Favourite healthy snacks

1.     Hummus with vegetables

Ingredients for hummus:
  •        1 can of chickpeas (250 g)
  •        1 dl of water
  •        2 tablespoons of tahini (sesame paste)
  •        1 clove of garlic
  •        2 tablespoon of olive oil
  •        Parsley (finely chopped)
  •        2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  •        1 tablespoon of ground red pepper
  •        Salt
  •        Pepper (Optional)
Just mix it all together in a blender, chop any kind of vegetables you like (pepper, carrot, zucchini) and enjoy!

2.     Nuts mixture

Buy different kind of nuts and mix them together in a bowl. They are great energy source because they contain unsaturated fatty acids, proteins and other nutrients.

3.     Apple with tahini & cinnamon

You know how it goes, 1 apple a day keeps the doctor away! Add a spoon of tahini or peanut butter and cinnamon and your tasty snack is ready.

4.     Dark chocolate

Dark chocolate with 75-95% cocoa is a powerful source of antioxidants.

5.     Yogurt with a spoon of honey

My favourite one is greek yogurt, because it is creamy in texture and high in protein.
